| CURRICULUM
Learning that connects students to the world around them.
D.A.T.E. Academy’s curriculum is a hands-on, integrated approach that gives students a foundation for understanding both the natural and built environment. Rather than teaching subjects in isolation, we connect learning across disciplines — making every concept relevant, every lesson applied, and every student an active participant.
From Kindergarten through 8th grade, agriculture, technology, and environmental science are woven into core academics. Students who leave D.A.T.E. don’t just know things — they know what to do with what they know.
| STEAM PROGRAM
Science. Technology. Engineering. Arts. Math.
D.A.T.E. Academy is a fully STEM-accredited school — and STEAM thinking is embedded in everything we do. We don’t treat these disciplines as separate subjects. We teach them as what they actually are: interconnected tools for solving real problems.
From the TechEagles robotics program to the STEAM Bus that brings mobile learning directly to students, our STEAM offerings give every scholar access to the experiences that build tomorrow’s innovators.

MEDIA ARTS
Photography, film, broadcast, and visual storytelling
MEDIA ARTS
Our Media Arts and Production Program allows our students to the study of human communication through film, photography, video, audio, computer/digital arts, and interactive media. Creatively, our students employ the elements of space, time, light, motion, color, and sound to express their perspectives, feelings, and ideas.
SOLAR ENERGY
Renewable energy systems and sustainable technology
SOLAR ENERGY
Teaching the youth about sustainable and green technologies is a joy of STEAM Teams and we offer a variety of courses on Electrical Theory and Photovoltaic Systems, including hands on projects such as building a power station and measuring inputs/outputs. We inform students of the Global implications of energy choices and how to evaluate power use efficiently.
HEALTH / PE
Wellness, kinesiology, and physical development
HEALTH / PE
D.A.T.E. provides physical education including activities and sports, as well as the study of health/wellness.
VIRTUAL REALITY
Immersive design, 3D development, and spatial computing
VIRTUAL REALITY
Our students participate in a Virtual Reality (VR) simulated experience that can be similar to or completely different from the real world. Applications of virtual reality include entertainment (particularly video games), education (such as medical or military training) and business (such as virtual meetings).
DRONES
Aerial technology, flight operation,
and remote sensing
DRONES
Students will learn how to produce and operate Drones as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) or unmanned aircraft systems (UASes) t that can be remotely controlled or fly autonomously through software-controlled flight plans in their embedded systems, working in conjunction with onboard sensors and GPS.
PERFORMING ARTS
Band, theater, chorus, and drama
PERFORMING ARTS
Students previously enrolled in band have been automatically enrolled in the performing arts pathway. The band and drama instruction will emphasize students’ abilities to participate in productions for the school community and other regional competitions.
ROBOTICS
Engineering, automation, and mechanical problem-solving
ROBOTICS
Robotics plays an integral role in many fields of Technology and Engineering. This covers basic skills & programming to more complex skill sets, such as life application projects in team and individual settings. Elementary robotics utilizes fun and engaging programs and platforms which incorporate software, hardware and workable robots.
ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE
Ecology, conservation, and sustainability practices
ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE
From plant sciences to geography, D.A.T.E. offers a wide variety of environmental science studies that focus on the world we live in.
EXPLORATORY SPECIALS
Health, PE, environmental science, computer literacy/technology, and drama.
EXPLORATORY SPECIALS
All students in Grade 5 will have the opportunity to experience all exploratory specials offered at D.A.T.E. These include: health, physical education, environmental science, computer literacy/technology, and drama.
ANIMATION & DIGITAL MEDIA
Storyboarding, Pixel Art, 2D and 3D animation
ANIMATION & DIGITAL MEDIA
Students enrolled in this pathway will take the animation course during the first semester of each year. The instruction will include storyboarding, Pixel Art, 2D and 3D animation. Students will gain the ability to apply storytelling and creativity to produce their own narratives.
DIGITAL LITERACY
Technology skills for everyday academic
and professional life
DIGITAL LITERACY
The D.A.T.E. curriculum includes digital literacy education to promote cognitive and critical thinking.
ELECTRIC GREEN CARS
Education in sustainable engineering
and technology
ELECTRIC GREEN CARS
To advance education in the subjects of sustainable engineering and technology to young people. Greenpower runs engineering challenges for schools based around designing and building a single seat electric powered race car.
| TECHNOLOGY INITIATIVE
One-to-one technology access for every student
DATE 1-to-1 Device Program
Every D.A.T.E. student has personal device access to support learning inside and outside the classroom. Students and families with limited internet access receive additional support through our technology support initiative.
STEAM Bus
Our mobile makerspace brings hands-on technology, engineering, and innovation experiences directly to students in a fully equipped rolling classroom. A one-of-a-kind experience that sets D.A.T.E. apart.

How do students join a club
How do students join a club
Club sign-ups take place at the beginning of each school year during the Activities Fair. Students may join multiple clubs depending on schedule availability. Contact the school office for information on specific club requirements or meeting schedules.
| FIELD TRIPS
Learning doesn’t stop at the classroom door
D.A.T.E. Academy students visit college campuses, compete in regional and state-level club competitions, and explore real-world environments that bring their classroom learning to life. Every trip is an opportunity to see the world — and see themselves in it.
College Visits
Building college-going culture from an early age by exposing students to higher education environments across Georgia and beyond.
Club Competitions
Supporting students as they compete at regional and state-level events in robotics, performing arts, athletics, and more.
Environmental Excursions
Taking environmental science out of the textbook and into the field with hands-on ecosystem study and conservation experiences.
| CAMPS
Summer learning. Year-round growth.
STEAM Camp
Hands-on science, technology, engineering, and innovation experiences for curious minds who aren’t ready to stop learning when the school year ends. Students explore, build, create, and solve real problems in a dynamic summer environment rooted in D.A.T.E.’s STEAM philosophy.
